Planet 612 has been around in form or another since December 1995, when the three founding morons (Nate, Vinny and Aaron) decided that they could put up with each other just enough to play some music together.

Over the course of the time the band has gone under some personnel changes as well as some stylistic changes. We have overcome obstacles and continue to do so, just to bring the best music that we can create to anyone willing to listen (and some who aren't so willing).

The current line-up of the band includes six wannabe musicians. That line up consists of three horn players (Ben, Dave and Jeremie) as well as the original three morons. The band is in the process of acquiring a full-time singer so that Aaron doesn't have to torture people anymore.

The music we play can hardly be considered "something totally unlike anything you've heard before", like other bands often like to claim. We are aware that there are tons of bands that sound very much like we do. We will however try our hardest to avoid saying we sound like any one particular group or lead the listener astray with classifications. It the job of the individual listener to decide what we sound like, and if you can live with that. If after listening to us, you think we're just another group that's doing what we do because it's popular, then so be it. We'll feel good knowing however, that you're wrong.

Aaron is one of the three original morons that got this whole thing rolling. He attempts to play the bass for Planet 612. He is currently singing as well, but hopes to give that job up in the near future. He is originally from Warren PA and is constantly looking for more silly things for the top of his amp.

Nate "Dog" is also one of the three original morons that decided to formulate this chaos. Nate plays guitar for the band on his hand made hockey stick guitar. He is the only non-Pennsylvania native, coming all the way from Bridgewater Massachusetts.

Dave is one-third of our gang of horn players. He plays tenor sax. If you can't tell from Dave's accent, he was raised JUST outside of Pittsburgh, in Glenshaw PA. Dave likes to use words like "Ying-Yang" and "Screwball".

Ben is another third of the rebellious horn players. Ben is our ever-active trombone player. He comes from Jeannette PA. Ben (along with Dave) helps raise the average height of the band considerably. When coming to a show, look for the guy that is constantly moving, that's Ben.

Jeremie rounds out the dorks with horns in their hands. He is our added flare on trumpet. Jeremie is originally from Warren PA as well. Jeremie is the youngest member of our group, but only by a couple months. He is the newest member of the band (if you consider January 1997 new).

Vinny is the foundation of the band. Being our drummer, we all rely on him to try to keep us in time. He was raised in New Alexandria PA, but will soon be moving south of the border to help start a business with his brother. Vinny has made appearances both on the David Letterman show as well as Entertainment Tonight.
